Hydration Station

Hey hockey moms! I’m looking at you right now! Did you know your little athlete can become dehydrated when they begin to lose as little as 1 percent of body weight! In a 70-pound child, that is less than 1 pound of weight lost through sweat! It is so important for a young athlete to remain properly hydrated before, during, and after competition!   1. Great Post! I have 3 boys that play travel hockey here in Florida with one being a goalie. He is especially prone to fluid loss during his games, so we give him electrolytes pre-game in addition to the recommended fluids. This has helped a lot. As they lose fluids, they also lose performance.
